Description

This linen postcard features a view of the birthplace of Thomas Lincoln, father of President Abraham Lincoln. John Lincoln settled in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1768. Thomas Lincoln was born here in 1776 or 1778. While still a young boy, his father moved the family to Kentucky. The image is surrounded by a white border with the caption printed in the top margin. The number 46762 is printed in the lower right corner of the border. The postcard reverse is divided and has a typewritten note from C. William Frank of Harrisonburg to Louis A.
