Description
This scallop-edged, color postcard features the heroic-sized granite statue of President Abraham Lincoln with his wife,Mary Todd Lincoln, done by sculptor Frederick C. Hibbard, located in Racine, Wisconsin. The couple is depicted as they might have looked if they had posed together for a photograph in 1861 before an event. Mrs. Lincoln is shown in a formal dress standing beside Mr. Lincoln who is seated with her left hand resting on his right arm. The Gateway Technical Institute is seen behind the statue.
