- Printed form letter, 25 cm, from the National Executive Committee of the American Party, asking State Executive Committees to provide names and addresses of electors and loyal party members to survey the state of the party and its competition; signed by Humphrey Marshall, S.G. Haven, F.K. Zollicoffer, Jno. S. Carlile, J. Morrison Harris, Jacob Broom, and J. Scott Harrison. Followed by handwritten letter from Marshall urging Thompson to go to the convention and support ""a separate Fillmore ticket in Indiana...the foreign vote is going for Fremont - We must not fuse.""
