Description

This print features the text of President Abraham Lincoln's speech given at the dedication of the National Cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on November 19, 1863. A note below the text of the speech says, "The above is a copy of the so-called Second Library of Congress draft of the Address, which was prepared in Gettysburg, November 18-19, 1863 and was the draft which Mr. Lincoln had in his hand while speaking. It is one of five drafts or versions in Lincoln's hand-writing now in existence. Executed and presented by The Maple Press Company, York, Pennsylvania; paper furnished through the courtesy of the Whitaker Paper Company, Baltimore, Maryland and distributed by the Department of History, Gettysburg College."
