- Handwritten letter fragment, 21 cm, on stationery with mourning borders. Mary Todd Lincoln asks Mary Harlan Lincoln about the size and location of her home and windows so she can send furniture and decor. Mary Todd Lincoln notes that her health is poor and she awaits funds from her Congressional pension before she can afford to travel. She further notes that Tad sent a "gold ring set in blue" for baby Mamie Lincoln, and asks about friend Mrs. Grund.
