Description

Pencil drawing depicts a beardless Abraham Lincoln done from a photograph taken by Preston Butler on August 13, 1860, in Springfield, Illinois. Lincoln is shown in three-quarter profile turned toward the viewer's right, his arms crossed at his chest wearing a black frock coat and bow tie with a white shirt.
