Description

This print is a reproduction of a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln done in charcoal by artist John Doctoroff. The artist studied the photographs taken of President Lincoln, especially one taken on November 8, 1863, in Washington, D.C. The portrait shows Lincoln looking straight at the viewer. He has a beard with a mole on the right cheek and is shown wearing a black coat and bow tie with a white collared shirt. The artist's signature and date are printed at the bottom edge of the image.
