Description

This lithograph is a reproduction of Salvador Dali's painting, "Lincoln in Dalivision." Up close the print features the back of a nude woman, Dali's beloved wife, Gala, gazing out a window. Through the window there is a Christ-like figure in a sky of flames. The woman stands on different colored square tiles which continue up the wall from the floor. From a greater distance away the print appears to be a pixilated portrait of President Abraham Lincoln. Dali painted two original versions beginning in 1974 and finishing in 1976. The second painting is the basis for the limited edition lithograph and is in the collection of the Salvidore Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.
