Description

This color print featuring United States President Abraham Lincoln is a reproduction of a painting by James Read Lambdin owned at the time of publication by Lincoln collector Oliver R. Barrett. This print is a pull-out from the Picture Section of the February 11, 1940, issue of the Chicago Sunday Tribune. Lincoln is depicted seated, right knee crossed over his left knee, with his right hand resting on a document on the table and with his left hand resting on his knee. He is wearing a black frock coat, waistcoat, and bow tie. Behind the table part of a painting hanging on the wall is visible. Behind Lincoln's chair is a globe with a flag partially draped over it.
