Description

This bust of President Abraham Lincoln was sculpted by George E. Bissell in the late 19th century. Lincoln is depicted facing slightly downward and wearing an outer coat, vest, shirt, and bow tie. The bust stands on a 7-inch square pedestal. On the reverse of the bust is etched, "Geo E Bissell SC Copyright." Engraved to the right on the reverse just above the pedestal is Gorham Co. Founders. To the left is the number 048.
