This tinted postcard features a view of Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. Viewed from the street in front and to the right, the red facade has three stories of five windows each, with red and white striped awning. Two women and a man are depicted standing near the door. President Abraham Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth while seated in the president's box in this theatre. The caption is printed in the upper right corner of the image.
