Description

This postcard features a view of the boarding house in which President Abraham Lincoln died on April 15, 1865. A curved staircase leads to the door. A man and woman are shown standing beside the staircase. A sign advertising the Oldroyd Lincoln Memorial Collection housed there is in front of the door. The caption is printed along the bottom edge of the image. The postcard reverse is divided. Narrative text is printed on the left side. The postcard is addressed to Agnes Kelly of New Britain, Connecticut. The Washington, D. C., postmark is dated November 17, 1909.
