Description

This tinted postcard features a view of Ford's Theatre located in Washington, D. C. President Abraham Lincoln and his wife attended plays at this theatre and he was seated in the President's Box there the night of April 14, 1865, when John Wilkes Booth shot him from behind. Two women and a man can be seen standing near the entrance to the building. The number 506 and the postcard caption are printed in the bottom margin. The postcard reverse is undivided.
