Description

This lithograph features a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln in the center surrounded by portraits of the members of his Cabinet of 1861. The portraits are depicted inside of a gold-bordered patriotic shield with white stars on a blue field at the top of vertical red and white stripes. The cabinet members shown going clockwise from the top are Simon Cameron, Secretary of War; Salmon P. Chase, Secretary of the Treasury; William H. Seward, Secretary of State; Montgomery Blair, Postmaster General; Gideon Welles, Secretary of the Navy; Caleb B. Smith, Secretary of the Interior; and Edward Bates, Attorney General . The title is printed in the lower margin. Below the title the text reads, "Presented to the Subscribers of the Watchman & Reflector."
