Description

This Duncan Royale figurine depicts a thin, bearded Caucasian Santa Claus standing behind a bag of presents while holding it open with his left hand. He is holding a package wrapped in dark blue paper with white stars on it in his right hand. His beard and shoulder length hair are white. The Santa Claus is wearing a red hat with white trim and a gold tassel. His coat is blue with white stars like the U.S. flag, and it is adorned with gold braid. His pants are red and white striped like the flag, and he is wearing tall black boots. The bag of gifts is also striped red and white. The presents are wrapped in blue paper with white stars. The figurine is accompanied by a company brochure showing multiple Santa figurines sold by the company. The piece is also accompanied by a small red and gold book that expresses the message that although the Civil War was a fight that split families, both sides kept Santa Claus alive.
