Description

This hand-colored postcard features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln within an oval border flanked by two American flags on the front. The date, February Twelfth, is printed between the portrait and the flags. Below the portraitl a verse reads: " ' Lest we forget ', here's just a card sent to a friend with best regard, In praise of him we reverence yet And always will- 'Lest we forget'." The postcard reverse is divided. A handwritten inscription in black ink from Thelma Leybold to Elijah Bangs of New York, New York, is on the left side.
