Description

This tinted postcard features the beardless head of Abraham Lincoln carved from marble by sculptor Gutzon Borglum in 1908. The head sits on a pedestal also designed by the sculptor. The sculpture is shown against a green background. The image is surrounded by a white border with the caption printed in the bottom margin. The postcard reverse is divided. Narrative text is printed on the left side. The postcard is addressed to the Lincoln National Life Foundation of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
