Description

This print features a poem describing a village near President Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home in southern Indiana. The name of the village was Gentryville during the time the Lincoln family lived in Indiana. The village name was later changed to Jonesboro. Each of the eight verses of the poem has an illustration above it related to the words of the verse. "Gentryville, Indiana" handwritten in black ink on reverse.
