This color postcard features a reproduction of an original oil on canvas painting of Republican Party presidential candidate Abraham Lincoln by artist Alanson Fisher in 1860. The painting is in the collection of the Westmoreland County Museum of Art in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The head and shoulders portrait depicts Lincoln beardless as he did not begin to grow his beard until after he won the election in November of 1860.
