This is a brown paper envelope with "No. 37 The Pageant of a Nation by J. L. G. Ferris Master Painter of Scenes from American History" printed at the top of folder. "The Gettysburg Address (November 19th 1863)" is printed in large letters below that, with "1863" printed below that. Finally, "Historical Application David S. Muzzey, PH. D. Graduate Professor of American History, Columbia University" is printed just below that. The text in the center is a description of Lincoln's presidential campaign tour. Information about the work is presented with various questions for younger and older pupils. The reverse side of the folder is a "Character Application" That describes the image with an emphasis on the American flag pictured. The bottom gives a list with "Some Suggestions For Special Uses of This Picture." Note: The folder has an accompanying print, though its current location is unknown.
