Description

This color print features a bearded Abraham Lincoln on horseback in front of his Springfield home. Lincoln wears a dark jacket, vest, pants, and shoes, as well as a white collared shirt and black bow tie. Lincoln holds his black top hat in his right hand and the reigns of his horse with the left. The house behind him is set at a three quarter view with the front directed slightly to the left. A crowd of people surround Lincoln as they celebrate his return to Springfield after a successful 1860 presidential election. "Abraham Lincoln's Return Home" is printed below the image, with "After his successful campaign for the presidency of the United States, in October, 1860." is printed below that.
