Description

This tinted postcard features an illustration of the exterior of the Lincoln Memorial Building with fifty-six steps leading to the entrance. Each step represents one year of President Abraham Lincoln's life. Green grass, shrubbery, and trees line either side of the steps leading to the Beaux-arts building. A bench has been placed on the path leading to the steps with taller foliage behind it. The caption is printed along the top edge of the image. A white border surrounds the image. The postcard reverse is divided. The number 18149 is printed along the top edge near the stamp placement block.
