Description

This poster features a sepia-toned photograph of a beardless Abraham Lincoln pasted at the top into a printed triple-line frame on heavy paper. Under the photograph printed inside the border is text about the history of the photograph taken by Alexander Hesler in 1857 at the request of Lincoln's friends. Below the frame is the publisher's information. This is an example of the Lincoln name/image being used to promote positive feelings toward a business or organization.
