This postcard features a photograph of the replica of the room in the Petersen Boarding House where President Abraham Lincoln was taken after being shot by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865. The replica is at the Chicago Historical Society in Illinois. The bed in which Lincoln died is in the lower right corner of the image.
