Description

This print is the official proclamation by the governor of Massachusetts setting aside February 12, 1928, to be observed as Lincoln Day "and in places of worship, in our schools and wherever our people may meet one with another, may this day with its deep and significant bearing on our Nation's history be fully and properly observed. Our national colors should be generally displayed because it was under the leadership of Abraham Lincoln that the Union was preserved." The document is signed in black ink by the Governor and the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Except for having handwritten signatures, this print is a duplicate of 71.2009.081.2308.
