Description

This color poster is an advertisement for the reprint of the book "Lincoln on the Eve of '61" originally written by Henry Villard, a journalist and friend of Abraham Lincoln. The poster is printed with a peach-colored background with a double-line peach-colored border. In the viewer's top left corner is an illustration of the right profile of President Abraham Lincoln on a rust-colored background in a black-line oval border. Text describing the book is to the viewer's right of the illustration. Below the text and in the middle of the poster is the title of the book printed in white ink on a rust-colored background. Printed below the title in rust-colored ink are the author's and editors' names. A short descriptive phrase and the price of the book are printed in black ink near the bottom of the poster.
