Description
Piece of upholstery fragment features a white or cream field with a raised green and red grapevine design and a green and red patterned border. The top and bottom are finished in gold thread. The ends are unfinished and frayed. This is a piece of the upholstery fabric used in the railroad car that carried President Lincoln's body from Washington, D.C., to Springfield, Illinois, in 1865.
