This is a piece of sheet music for the song, “Col. Ellsworth’s Funeral March.” The cover is plain with a color illustration at the center of Colonel Ellsworth, a Union officer, wearing a blue coat and red pants standing on an American flag. The title is printed in gray and black lettering above and below the illustration. Colonel Elmer Ellsworth was the first commissioned officer to die in the Civil War on May 23, 1861.
