Description

This sepia-toned postcard features a reproduction done from an original photograph taken on February 9, 1864, of President Abraham Lincoln and his youngest son, Tad, posing together looking at a photograph album. A quotation attributed to Lincoln is printed next to the image. The caption is printed along the top edge of the postcard. Above the quotation is a small illustration of young Abraham Lincoln steering a flatboat. In the bottom right corner is a small illustration of Abraham Lincoln splitting rails. The postcard reverse is divided. An advertisement for publications by The Century Co. is printed on the left side. The Century Company address is printed on the right side.
