Description

This postcard features a portrait taken of President Abraham Lincoln on February 24, 1861, in Washington, D. C. To the right of the portrait near the top of the postcard is an illustration of a young Abraham Lincoln reading in front of the fireplace in a log cabin titled "Getting an Education." Just below the illustration is a quotation from President Lincoln's speech at the dedication of the Nation Cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on November 19, 1863. An illustration of President Lincoln speaking on the rostrum at Gettysburg is just below the quotation. The postcard reverse is divided.
