Description

This postcard features a photograph of the two-story home of the Abraham Lincoln family in Springfield, Illinois, taken at dusk. The yard light is on and the interior lights can be seen through the windows. The caption is printed in white on a black background below the image. A thin white rectangular border surrounds the image. The postcard reverse is undivided. A handwritten note in blue ink from Ruth [Cook] to the Lincoln Library and Museum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, takes up the left half of the postcard reverse.
