Description
This embossed postcard features an open book on a gold-colored easel. A right-profile portrait of President Abraham Lincoln is on the left page and a quotation on the right page. The quotation: "I intend no modification of my oft-expressed wish that all men everywhere should be free" is from a letter written by President Lincoln to Horace Greeley on August 22, 1862. The book is surrounded by pink and red roses on a pale green background. The postcard reverse is divided. Part of the LIncoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
