Description
This postcard is a photograph of a plaque with a quotation incorrectly attributed to President Abraham Lincoln. The first half of the quote, "I am not bound to win..." is not found in any of Lincoln's writings or recollections by people who knew him. The second half beginning with "I must stand..." is from a speech Lincoln gave in Urbana, Illinois, on October 24, 1854. The postcard reverse is divided.
