Description
This linen postcard features a color illustration of Abraham Lincoln as a young man lying on the floor in front of a fireplace. He is depicted holding an unrolled document in front of him with an open book next to it. A quill pen in an ink well is on the floor beside his right hand. The text of a poem by Mary Eyre Wintersmith Robertson about Abraham Lincoln is printed in the upper left corner of the postcard. A circular inset below the poem features an illustration of Lincoln's birthplace cabin. The caption is printed along the bottom edge of the image. The postcard reverse is divided.
