Description

This color postcard features an illustration of President Abraham Lincoln on an oval background. A facsimile signature is below the portrait framed by two laurel branches. His birth year, 1809, is printed in the lower left corner. The year of his death, 1865, is printed in the lower right corner. The postcard reverse is divided and has narrative text printed on the left side. A handwritten note in blue ink from Bob to Mrs. E. S. O'Reilly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is also on the left side. The Clinton, Illinois, postmark is dated Nov 13, 1969. The number DR-13985-C is printed in the lower left corner.
