Description

This color postcard features a reproduction of the original portrait of Abraham Lincoln done from life by artist George P. A. Healy in Springfield, Illinois, in 1860. The painting is in the collection of the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D. C. Healy depicted Lincoln beardless as he was before winning the presidential election of 1860. The postcard reverse is divided and is addressed to the Lincoln National Life Foundation of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
