Description

This postcard features an illustration done from an engraving by Ernest F. Hubbard of a young Abraham Lincoln taking a break from chopping down a tree. Lincoln is depicted seated on the ground and leaning against the tree trunk reading a book. The blade of his axe is embedded in the end of the log. This is one of a series of twenty postcards with illustrations featuring events which occurred during the life of President Lincoln. The postcard reverse is divided.
