Description

This postcard features an illustration of a young Abraham Lincoln steering the loaded flatboat down the Mississippi River to New Orleans in 1828 to sell produce and other products from Indiana. Lincoln is depicted standing at the front of the flatboat with the oar in his hands. This is one of a series of twenty postcards with illustrations featuring events which occurred during the life of President Lincoln. The postcard reverse is divided.
