This postcard is a photograph of the statue of a beardless Abraham Lincoln sculpted by Gaetano Cecere in 1934 located on the Lincoln Memorial Bridge in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The pose chosen by the sculptor depicts Lincoln standing and looking down with his arms down at his sides. The statue sits on a Wausau red granite pedestal with various inscriptions on the sides. The postcard reverse is divided. A handwritten note in blue ink on the left side reads "A view of "the Milwaukee Lincoln." from Arthur C. Hansen, M. D. of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, to Louis A. Warren of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin, postmark is dated Sep. 15, 1941. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum
