Description

This postcard features a color illustration of Abraham Lincoln as a young man lying on the floor in front of a fireplace. He is depicted holding an unrolled document in front of him with an open book next to it. A quill pen in an ink well is on the floor beside his right hand. A vignetted inset in the upper left corner features the text of a poem by Mary Eyre Wintersmith Robertson about Abraham Lincoln. A circular inset below the poem features an image of Lincoln's birthplace cabin. The caption is printed along the bottom edge of the image. The postcard reverse is divided.
