Description

This postcard features a reproduction of an image by E. A. Burbank featuring a head and shoulders portrait of President Abraham Lincoln surrounded by the text of a quotation erroneously attributed to him. The portrait was done from a photograph taken of President Lincoln on November 8, 1863, in Washington, D. C. The postcard reverse is divided. An inscription is handwritten in black ink by the artist to the Lincoln National Life Foundation of Fort Wayne, Indiana, reading "Compliments of E. A. Burbank" is on the left side.
