Description

This linen postcard features the symbolic log cabin in which Abraham Lincoln was born as it is inside the Lincoln Memorial Hall located near Hodgenville, Kentucky. The image is surrounded by a white border with the caption printed in the top and bottom margins. The number 56140 is printed in the lower right corner of the border. The postcard reverse is divided with narrative text printed on the left side. Also on the left side is a handwritten note in blue ink from Alice and Gertrude to Elizabeth O'Rourke of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Hodgenville, Kentucky, postmark is dated Sep 7, 1937.
