Description
This colored postcard depicts the lower landing area along the Ohio River at Rockport, Indiana. It is said to be the spot from which a young Abraham Lincoln and Allen Gentry left to sail the flatboat of produce down the Mississippi River to New Orleans. A white border surrounds the image with the caption printed in top margin. The number 16081-C is printed in the lower right corner of the border.
