Description

This photographic postcard features the two-story home of the Abraham Lincoln family in Springfield, Illinois, at the corner of Eighth and Jackson Streets. The Lincolns lived in this house from 1844 to 1861. The awning over the front door was added in 1905. Overhead electric lines and a flagpole were installed by 1910.
