Description

This linen postcard features the grounds around the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D. C., probably in late spring. Two trees are full of blossoms in the foreground. A light-colored border surrounds the images with the caption printed in the top margin. The number 1B-H762 is printed in the lower right corner of the border. The postcard reverse is divided. A typewritten note from Carl E. Stange to Louis A. Warren of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is on the left side. The Washington, D. C., postmark is dated May 15, 1946. Part of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, courtesy of the Indiana State Museum.
