Description

This color postcard features a reproduction of a mural by artist Dean Cornwell housed in the Lincoln Memorial Shrine at Redlands, California. The mural, titled "He Freed the Slave," depicts Columbia seated in the center holding a broken shackle while two men kneel at her feet. Other symbolic figures are depicted standing beside or behind Columbia. The caption is printed in the bottom margin. The postcard reverse is divided.
