Description

This postcard is a reprint of the original 1909 postcard probably published for the centennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States. A decorative oval border surrounds the head and shoulders portrait of President Lincoln near the center. To the left is an image of the Lincoln Monument which is incorrectly labeled as being at Springfield, Ohio. To the viewer's right is an image of President Lincoln's State Carriage which was purchased by the Studebaker Bros. Mfg. Co. of South Bend, Indiana. The postcard reverse is divided. Narrative text is printed on the left side. The number 63398-D is printed just below the stamp placement block.
