Printed 'Bounty to Volunteers' form 'No. 725,' 12 x 22 cm, dated February 16, 1865, filled in and signed by Charles Pefferman, Auditor M. Co. 'This is to certify, that Henry A. Taylor having volunteered and entered the service of the United States under the late call of the President ... is entitled to receive from said County, on the 10th day of March, 1866 the sum of fifty dollars.' Across the front of the document are three entries in red ink showing orders drawn for $20 (March 17/66), $10 (April 6/67) and $12.50 (June 5/68). Docketed on verso 'R M Taylor for H.A. Taylor' and 'Henry A. Taylor' in two different hands.
