Miller, Union Trust Building, Indianapolis, Ind. signed by Robert T. Lincoln. Lincoln responds to Miller's letter of recommendation for Ambrose Hamlin for appointment as a conductor for Pullman. He details the practice for hiring conductors and states that they have asked Hamlin to present a formal application.
