Description:: Receipt, 11 x 20 cm, for payment of court fees by William Spencer to the Vermilion Circuit Court, written and signed by Lincoln with affidavit of authentication, 26 cm, written, signed and with embossed stamp by H. (Hiram) W. Beckwith (notary public). Spencer retained Lincoln and sued Hamilton White to collect a promissory note. Lincoln received a $25 fee for the three cases that he argued for Spencer.
